error in updating a canvas

hi everybody,
I have an error when trying to update a canvas containing some images (TASImage objects).
I am running the ROOT head version, downloaded yesterday, on SLC3

the error is the following:

Error in <RootX11ErrorHandler>: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
(XID: 152438304, XREQ: 14) any suggestion?
