newbie question

what is the equivalent to .pawlogon.kumac for root? The .rootrc
file does not seem to execute statments.

for  example

[adler@ssadler root.stuff]$ more .rootrc
{
  printf("Hello\n");
}

does not give me a

  Hello

when I start root.
