Hi Federico,
You can take a look at these release notes: http://root.cern.ch/root/Version51000.news.html Under: "Embedding ROOT in External Applications" If it is not clear enough, or if you need more help, just let me know.
Cheers, Bertrand.

Subject: [ROOT] GTK & ROOT
Dear all,
I've seen some posts from 2001 and 2005 discussing embedding of ROOT objects into GTK but I don't understand if/how this is implemented.
Could you link me to any development for that, even if not official/
stable?
The basic thing I would like to implement is simply embedding a
TCanvas in a gtk widget.
Bindings to pygtk would be even better since I'm programming through python.
Thanks,
Federico
