plz help me

     Hi recently I came to know about ROOT. 2 days back i downloaed the root from http://root.bnl.gov/QtRoot/downloads/root.5.10.00.exe And now I want to write the progrms but after downloadig and installaton. If i am trying to open the window , some command type (black color) was opening with root[0] as a promt. How can i get the edition window to write the program . plz help me I am so thankful to you.
