Hello again,

I think I sorted it out.. was mixing up the libs of vc6 and vc7 during the
compile.

Cheers,

Brandon

Subject: [ROOT] compiling root 3.10

Hello rooters,

I've hit a snag compiling the latest version of root under cygwin with vc7.
I've got a fresh install of cygwin (and vc7 for that matter). Here's the
linker error.

Creating library cint\main\cint_tmp.lib and object cint\main\cint_tmp.exp
value.o : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __ftol2 var.o : error
LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __ftol2 ifunc.o : error LNK2019:

newlink.o : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol __ftol2 referenced in
function _G__cppif_memfunc opr.o : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol
__ftol2 pcode.o : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __ftol2
cint\main\cint_tmp.exe : atal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals make:
*** [cint/main/cint_tmp.exe] Error 96

So, I'm missing the lib which contains 'ftol'. Anyone else get this?

Thanks
