Dear Rooters,

The Root 2002 workshop is now approaching (October 14,15,16).
    see http://root.cern.ch/root/R2002/Welcome.html

You can see the list of participants registered so far at:
    http://root.cern.ch/root/R2002/Participants.phtml

and the list of submitted abstracts at:
    http://root.cern.ch/root/R2002/Abstracts.phtml

If you intend to participate or/and make a presentation, please
fill the registration procedure and your abstract as soon as
possible. Once we have collected more abstracts, we will post
a first agenda on the workshop site.

If you cannot attend, but would like to make a presentation,
we expect to have a VRVS setup in operation.

We are particularly interested by talks in the following categories:

 - use of Root as a general framework
 - experience with I/O, comparing different solutions using Trees
   or other mechanisms.
 - use of the Root/CINT dictionary to implement interfaces with
   foreign systems.
 - Use of the GUI and graphics classes
 - use in DAQ, Real time systems and client/servers.
 - distributed applications on the GRID
 - Statistical Analysis tools and classes

We also invite participants to come with questions, comments,
proposals to be discussed in a special Q&A session.
