I just received a new PC with Windows 2000 replacing Windows NT, but with
the same version of ROOT, 3.03/05. I got the same problem:
Error SelectPalette for Pixmap - 0
as reported in ROOTTALK by Franz Scherz :
in the first small program I tested (not R-Quant).
I had not this problem under Windows NT.
If I do some (even) simple code using a canvas and use debugging in MSVC I
get Error SelectPalette for Pixmap - 0 errors. Not only that, but all colors
are displayed wrongly too! The same program works ok when not run in debug
mode.
So it is NOT a problem of R-Quant!
Notice that the problem disappears when setting the screen in 256 colors
instead of "true colors" !
I hope I will not be obliged to stay in 256 colors because of ROOT!
