Hi Valery, Yes there are two possibilities. The second one to create ROOT file with NO ROOT and C++ seems a lot of work. You are right that first possibility is easy for a specific case. It seems to me that I need something between case one and two, not to remove ROOT and C++ at all but not to write (or generate) JNI for every Java class. Anyway thanks for the info, George Valeri Fine wrote: > > Hi Rooters, > > Is there any way of writing ROOT data files from Java? > > Thanks for any info, > > What did you mean ? > > As soon as one can call some C++ code from Java code one can create > C++ object and populate that object with the data coming from Java parts. > > If that C++ object is a "ROOT object" ( for example it is derived from > TObject) > then you can use TObject::Write method to write it out. > > What is the problem ? > Did you mean you want to create ROOT file with NO ROOT and with no C++? > > Cheers, Valeri > > > > > George Velev > >
