Hello forks,

New evaluation version of Qt-based ROOT for Windows linked with the regular Qt v.3.0.1
DLL has been uploaded and available to trial.
http://www.usatlas.bnl.gov/~fine/QtRootDownload.html

-  No expiration time anymore.
-  "ZIP" and "tar" files have been removed. 
-  The source is included into the distribution directly.
-   Please remove the previous evaluation version first.
-   README file has been updated  also
    see:  http://www.usatlas.bnl.gov/~fine/QtRoot/QtRoot.html

I was able to test it with Windows 2000 only. I have not tried Win 98/XP/NT yet.
Please try these platforms too and let me know or wait a little bit.
