The correct way to set the login and passwd is via:
TAuthenticate::SetGlobalUser("rdm")
TAuthenticate::SetGlobalPasswd("..xx.x..")
TFile *f = new TNetFile("root://localhost/root/RDM/hsimple.root")
<no uid/passwd prompt>
The NetFile.html was incorrect. Fixed now. Otherwise you also could use
the ~/.rootnetrc file method.
