I had this problem on a Mandrake 8.0 system. I fixed it by installing the
"devel" libXpm rpm. I am not on that system now so I cannot look up the
exact name of the package. Apparently configure requires libXpm.a not
libXpm.so which was alrady on the system.

	When I installed the ROOT version of
root_v3.01.05.source.tar.gz for RedHat Linux 7.1,
problems are existing as the following:

My root directory is under /usr/local/root.
