Hi Sam,

Did you try to fit a graph ?

When fitting a graph TGraph *gr
  gr->Fit("somefunction")
will automatically display the graph and the fit.

Read the documentation of TGraph::Fit or even more explanations on this topic
in the users guide at: http://root.cern.ch/root/RootDoc.html
