Dear friends,
I agree with Dave. Most of the time I am making plots for publications
and there one obviously wants the white background. Also for e.g. pavelabels
in a plot, which I have never succeeded to get them with white fill colour
as default; I always have to change it by hand, which is not very convenient.
The same I also prefer for my the plots in my presentations (i.e. much better
in copying/printing my transparencies). In case I want more sexy coloured
backgrounds, I can always set it explicitly.
