Dear ROOTers, this afternoon we will check in a large number of modifications that will give ROOT new automatic schema evolution capabilities. That means no more hand coded Streamer()s in case a class layout changes (in 95% of the cases). Most of these changes are backward compatible, but there are some cases that will need special attention. Much more on this new scheme will be announced shortly. We add the new scheme in the head of the CVS in the hope that many people will try out the new features and help us to come to a stable situation quickly. A final stable release will probably be ROOT v3.0. The latest current version, including new CINT 5.14.62, has been tagged as: v2-26-01. Use this tag for the latest "classic" version.
