I met same problem also, I don't know how to solve it either. Maybe we
should suggest Rene and Fons to release a FreeBSD version ROOT.
Rene and Fons, will you take into account to release a FreeBSD Binary in
next Version of ROOT?

I am Trying to install root with freebsd 4.1.1
i have tried the options of Christian in MyConfig and it seem to work
fine, but when i open a canvas (running the tutorial examples) and try to
open the color or the fonts window root breaks, sending an error
message, root does not find things like __7TCanvas*any*,
so it seems like in the compilation process i am missing a library.
do you know what are this 7TCanvas things and where are they defined?
