FWIW, ROOT CVS v2-25-final also failed on Debian Woody (updated 10/4) due to fpos_t being assumed to be long. This was with gcc 2.95.2 and libc 2.1.94. Current ROOT CVS as of yesterday compiled okay. -Brett.
