[ROOT] segmentation fault with XFree 4.0 (Linux)

Recently I updated my X-Server (Suse Linux 6.3, Kernel 2.2.13,
ROOT 2.23/12) from XFree 3.3.5 to XFree 4.0. Now, whenever I try
to start things of the ROOT-GUI (e.g invoking TBrowser from CINT) I
get a lot of segfaults scrolling through the window...
The same is true if I use compiled code.
I also tried to recompile root from the source, but still had the same
segfaults.
All the stuff used to work before the change, and up to now, ROOT
is the the only programm I have troubles with wtih the new XFree.
I know that XFree 4.0 is in a very early stage and it may be a X
bug, but are there any ideas about this problem ?
