Dear ROOTers,
does anybody have a valid Makefile for ROOT on AIX 4.3.x for the gcc 2.95
compiler version? I tried now several things with the ROOT delivered
makefiles, but nothing really works till the end. The
Makefile.aixegcs file does not create the libraries (Cint in first place)
and then I get the message
gcc -O -D_AIX41 -DR__AIXGCC -D_AIX32 -fsigned-char -c C_mrealloc.c

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program ./rootcint.tmp because of the
following errors:
0509-023 Symbol _GLOBAL__FI_libCint_so in rootcint.tmp is not
defined.
0509-023 Symbol _GLOBAL__FD_libCint_so in rootcint.tmp is not
defined.
0509-026 System error: Cannot run a file that does not have a
valid format.
Several modifications did not help me out of the trouble. So, since this
was the ~100th trial on this platform, I ask you for help.
And, secondly, has anybody ever tried to compile ROOT on Windows with the
cygwin compiler and could share may be his Makefile with me?
