Hi, I am following the printed version of the Fermi Root Course 101. On page 15 it says to "click on the canvas and select MakeClass". When I click on the canvas as indicated, there is no makeclass selection. I am using ROOT/pro (the july release, I think it is 22/10 or somesuch.) I am having some successes with ROOT and the Fermi documentation is nice. I was disappointed to learn that the old "break: segmentation violation" messages were somehow inherited from PAW. Or is there a .rootrc file somewhere for which I need to turn off the PAW compatibility mode?? ;-) Kind of like gawk? % gawk --nostalgia awk: bailing out near line 1 zsh: abort (core dumped) gawk --nostalgia % JT
