Characteristics of commands

Commands share a common characteristic in the CommonPoint application system: they can be streamed to and from persistent storage and between tasks.

Commands support polymorphic streaming. This allows you to use them in a persistent manner. You can stream out, delete, and stream in a command. As long as the target object you present to the new copy of the command is recognized as a valid parameter, the command will continue to work.

You can stream a command between tasks and apply it to an equivalent target in the new task.
